Pepsodent was launched in Bangladesh in October 1991. It has a unique flouride which is fortified with ingrdients that provide protection for germs and fights 12 teeth and gum problems.
Communication
Pepsodent communicates the importance of maintaining a good oral hygiene. While it primarily targets the children, Pepsodent aims at raising awareness among care-givers to promote brushing after every meal especially before going to bed at night. The brand conducts school programmes and runs a Dentibus which provides basic dental care to people who cannot reach a dentist.
Endorsed by BDS
Recognition of Pepsodent's product quality and efforts in developing awareness of dental hygiene has come through Bangladesh Dental Society (BDS). BDS has chosen Pepsodent as the only toothpaste to be endorsed by them. The soceity also assisted Unilever Bangladesh in conducting dental camps, School Programmes and Pepsodent Dental Health weeks, where dentists affiliated to BDS provide free dental check-up in the communities.
Offering choice
With our understanding of local needs and preferences, Pepsodent introduced a Toothpowder format. This has gained immense popularity over the years. With the introduction of the 'Neem' variant of the toothpowder, Pepsodent has successfully incorporated the herbal goodness and trust associated with natural products into the brand.
Expanding the Portfolio
Pepsodent expanded in to the toothbrush category in September 2007 with a view to offer its consumers with better oral hygiene. There are currently three toothbrushes along side three types of toothpastes and two types of toothpowders.

- Pepsodent Whitening whitens teeth in 2 weeks. It contains Perlite, an effective polishing agenct while helps removes stains. Its formula is clinically proven to bring back and maintain the natural whiteness of your teeth.
- Pepsodent Herbal contains the power of 5 natural elements - Basil Leaf, Mint Leaf, Cardamom, Natural Calcium and Salt. Its flouride and calcium makes stronger teeth and prevents tooth decay. Thus, it allows you to eat your favourite food as much as you want.
Toothpowder
- Pepsodent Germicheck Plus toothpowder contains Triclosan that fight against germs. Its calcium helps to prevent tooth decay.
- Pepsodent Neem Toothpowder contains neem and sal that fight against germs in a natural way.
Toothbrush
- Pepsodent Whitening has a special rubber lamella which polishes teeth as they are brushed, making teeth whiter.
- Pepsodent Extra has been designed in consultation with dentists to give optimal cleaning and perfect reach like human finger. Its criss-crossed bristles provide better cleaning to teeth.
- The three angled design of Pepsodent Fighter allows the brush to reach comfortably all the way to the last tooth. Brush head shape is inspired by index finger for better reach. Its inter-dental bristles profile cleans in-between teeth effectively and is soft so that they don't hurt gums.
